With ClipperTelemed+ there is no delay. You are directly connected to one of our on-call emergency doctors within minutes. We encourage you to call for the small things, as often as you need to ensure the health and well-being of those board.
Crew can call the 24/7 line using their satellite phone and are connected to our on-call emergency doctor within minutes.
Once connected, doctors will have digital access to the crew’s medical history and can advise on managing illnesses or injuries on board, and assist in deciding if/when a medical evacuation or vessel diversion is required.
Crew can also interact with the doctor through secure messaging. Images, photos or short video clips can also be sent to our doctor using narrow bandwidth via satellite, if required.
Based on 20 years of managing illnesses and injury at sea, we have designed custom medical kits for clients, which meet the WHO, MCA Standards and other international certifications.

Meet the Team
Susan is the CEO of ClipperTelemed+ and PRAXES Medical Group. Since 1997 since, she has been leading a team of medical and non-medical staff to deliver top-quality telemedicine services to clients around the world. Susan earned a BASc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and an MESc in Civil Engineering from the University of Western Ontario. Her main focus is providing leadership, business planning, analysis and development.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Tom is a focused maritime sales professional, former bridge officer, navigator and ocean motor yacht skipper. He maintains professional tickets to this day, which enables him to have good maritime domain awareness and a thorough understanding of SOLAS, STCW and the requirements of the Maritime Labour Convention.
DR. JOHN ROSS B.SC, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Ross’ is responsible for all clinical services and the development of medical protocols used in delivery of service, hiring, training and review of medical personnel, and medical case review. Dr. Ross leads a team of highly experienced and highly skilled medical practitioners each recruited due to their unique ability to work under pressure within the unique environment.
MEDICAL TRAINER AND CONSULTANT
Liz spent 15 years as a Medic in the Royal Navy, where she served on different warships and shoreside managing all medical aspects for ships remotely. In 2014, she further invested in her skills as a trainer and opened her own maritime medical solutions company, Red Square Medical. Passionate about preparing for the unexpected, Liz takes pride in providing clients of all sizes with comprehensive onboard audits, medical preparedness plans, medical kit reviews and training. Based in the UK, Liz and her team of highly specialized trainers travel the world to train clients to ensure they are well-prepared for the demands of the sea.
